OUR SPACE

PINK is based at Hilton House, a 1970s office building on Lord Street in the centre of Stockport. Since moving here in 2023, we have brought five floors into cultural use.
The building is home to more than 46 affordable artist studios, a dedicated gallery, flexible event spaces and shared making resources. These spaces support different parts of artistic practice: from having somewhere to work each day to testing, producing and presenting work publicly.
Our ground-floor gallery and events space is a large, flexible room with an in-house PA system. It has hosted exhibitions, performances, gigs, screenings, workshops, talks, dinners, parties and community gatherings. The space has step-free access from street level and can accommodate up to 150 people standing or 75 seated, depending on the layout.
Our second-floor gallery provides space for exhibitions, residencies, installations, performance and research. It is used for Presented by PINK projects and is also available for independently organised activity between programmed exhibitions. A lift connects the ground and second floors.
Across the upper floors, our studios and shared workspaces are used every day by artists making work, developing ideas and exchanging knowledge. Together, these spaces allow artistic work to move between research, production and public presentation within the same building.
Hilton House gave PINK the room to grow at a scale that was becoming increasingly difficult to sustain in Manchester city centre. Stockport has become central to who we are. We are proud to contribute to its cultural life while connecting artists and audiences with wider regional, national and international practice.

Want to bring your own idea to PINK?
Hosted by PINK gives artists, collectives, community groups and independent organisers affordable, flexible space to produce their own activity.
Our ground-floor space and second-floor gallery are available to hire for exhibitions, performances, gigs, screenings, workshops, talks, launches, rehearsals and other events. Availability varies around PINK’s curatorial programme and existing bookings.
We keep our hire rates as affordable as possible. Income from each booking is reinvested into PINK, helping us maintain the building, share resources and support our wider work with artists and audiences.
If you have an activity ready to plan, send us a short outline using the form below. Please include your preferred dates, the space you are interested in, your expected audience numbers and any access or technical requirements.
We will review your enquiry, check availability and contact you about the next steps. You can also email pinkmanchester@gmail.com.
