ABOUT THIS EVENT

As part of our current curatorial project ‘New Arrangements’, artist Jenny Baines will be presenting a new body of work as an expanded film performance, which incorporates a series of 16mm film loops projected onto free-standing structures. The works’ arrangement creates different rhythms and patterns of movement, through which the audience can freely move. In each of the 16mm films the artist performs a physical action, which collectively explore the relationship between the body, screen and space.

ABOUT NEW ARRANGEMENTS

New Arrangements is a collaborative project initiated by artists Jenny Baines and Anna Macdonald. It brings the two artists’ practices into contact for the first time, aiming to explore the creative potential of working in-situ with another person through active processes of thinking and making.
