PINK is delighted to present My Hat and My Other Hat, a site-specific installation and exhibition by Caz Egelie.

My Hat and My Other Hat is the second edition of PINK's international residency series, which invites artists to create site-responsive works that reflect Stockport's evolving landscape. By welcoming international perspectives, these residencies uncover overlooked nuances in Stockport's urban and cultural fabric through observation, dialogue, and engagement with local materials and histories.

My Hat and My Other Hat has been developed in response to Caz's two-part residency with us at PINK, using Stockport's history of hatmaking as a springboard for their creative ideas. Through archival and material research and role-playing tactics, the works engage with re-fashioning — of objects and ideas that have gone out of style — as well as with the embodiment of characters that may or may not express something of the self.
