Farewell For Now by Lewis David Oldham is a photographic exploration of Stockport’s evolving urban landscape. The exhibition is the culmination of over fifteen years of documenting and archiving images captured in and around the town, part of Greater Manchester.

This body of work acts as a full stop - an intentional pause in Lewis’ long-standing focus on Stockport as the centre of his photographic and creative practice. It marks a transition, as he turns toward new methodologies, unfamiliar spaces, and different ways of seeing and interpreting the world. What began as visual documentation eventually took on a deeper personal resonance. Partway through the project, Lewis discovered familial roots in the town: his family had emigrated from Ireland and settled in Stockport.
